Back to the golden sixties. “After Expo '58, life changed forever. Our prosperity increased to an unprecedented level, electrical household appliances made their entrance, the television became central to the living room and almost everyone could buy a car. In this performance, we put you all in a 2CV to roll back to that time. Master storyteller and author Korneel De Rynck brings back memories of spongy Expo bread, the milk brigade and washing machines. And of course there is music! The hits from the sixties fly expertly around your ears from the instruments of a top band. A particularly amusing trip down memory lane.” Tickets: €7-22. 30 Mar, 15:00. Stadsschouwburg, Vlamingstraat 29. https://www.ccbrugge.be/agenda/4345/korneel-de-rynck-wouter-berlaen-esther-lybeert-en-maarten-flamand/terug-naar-de-golden-sixties
Wij (We) 2025 - Music House Wesp. “Lennaert Maes and Andries Boone have been making shows for people learning Dutch for 15 years. In the new show, they are working with three top musicians: Zouratié Koné from Burkina Faso, Nathalie Ballestas from Colombia and Jamal Moussaid from Morocco. These newcomers were already professionally involved in music in their own country and are bringing their musical influences to the stage. Songs from Belgium are given a global interpretation and songs from their country are given a Dutch version. This is how we make music together, with Dutch as the main language, but with music from all over the world! Wij 2025 is a great musical story by Flemish and non-Dutch speakers who learned Dutch, made for people learning Dutch, but just as interesting for the Flemish theatre visitor. At Wij 2025 we all come together.” Tickets: €6. 1-2 Apr (several performances - see link for times). Stadsschouwburg, Vlamingstraat 29.
