🎉 Brugge Centraal — free Open Air on the Burg + Benenwerk, this weekend. The city's brand-new summer festival, from Stad Brugge and Cactus, reaches its heart this weekend — and the two biggest days are entirely free. Tonight, Friday 7 August, Brugge Centraal Open Air turns the Burg into a festival stage with a stellar free line-up of pop, hip-hop and electronic acts: Dutch hitmaker Kraantje Pappie, West Flemish rap royalty 't Hof Van Commerce, singer-songwriter S10, brass-dance formation NAFT and Brussels artist Blu Samu. Then on Saturday 8 August, Benenwerk returns — the wonderful free dance festival spread across thirteen stages in the city centre, with dance styles from across the world, workshops, initiations, live music and DJ sets. Brugge Centraal Concerts — Gruuthuse courtyard. Alongside the free days, Brugge Centraal stages a series of ticketed, seated open-air concerts against the magnificent façade of the Gruuthuse city palace. A warm, dry and largely sunny week — ideal festival weather. Today (Friday 7 Aug) is sunny and pleasant at around 22°C, perfect for the free Open Air on the Burg tonight. Saturday 8 August warms up nicely to around 28°C under long spells of sunshine — excellent for Benenwerk and a rooftop dinner. Sunday and into next week stay warm and settled, in the 25–27°C range, with the mercury building towards 30°C by Wednesday 12 August.
