⭐ This Week's Top Pick

Two fab gigs this week: Cactusfestival takes over the Minnewaterpark from Friday and the Rode Duivels' World Cup quarter-final against Spain. The festival has rewritten its Friday programme to show the match on three big screens.

🎪 Cactusfestival 2026 — Fri 10 to Sun 12 July, Minnewaterpark. The 43rd edition of Belgium's most convivial festival: one stage, full sets, in a genuinely magical park setting. This year brings Madness, GOOSE, Aldous Harding, Kevin Morby, Dry Cleaning, Joshua Idehen, Nusantara Beat, Los Bitchos and Lézard, plus a new smaller stage, Superette Okay, and the Cactus Oasis DJ area curated by BLVRD. cactusfestival.be

⚽ Belgium v Spain — Friday 10 July, 21:00. The Red Devils reached the quarter-finals by dismantling the USA 4–1. Now Spain, the reigning European champions, stand in the way. Cactusfestival will show the match live on three screens in the Minnewaterpark, having moved every band earlier and shortened sets; The Afghan Whigs now play before kick-off, and Glintsal perform an adapted set during the game. Elsewhere, the city's bars will be heaving!

🌊 Free Open-Air Swimming at the Sasplein. With temperatures reaching 29°C this weekend, the free swimming zone in the Langerei is the loveliest way to cool off. Free, no booking; open only when water quality allows. brugge.be
